Planning and development
We offer the following services for builders, architects and developers:
Pre-development tree surveys and assessment to conform to the provisions of British Standard 5837 'Trees in Relation to Construction'. Such surveys may, in appropriate cases, be carried out using GPS/DGPS location to sub-metre accuracy on to OS or other map-format 'tiles', thereby often removing the need for initial measured surveys.
Detailed advice on the mitigation of threats to retained trees, including liaison with local authority officers, architects and structural engineers.
Supervision of arboricultural works, preparation of works schedules, tender documentation and tree works specifications, assessment of contractor performance.
Experienced representation at Planning Committee hearings and Public Inquiries.

The construction of this landmark block of flats, designed by the architect John Pawson, in Ladbroke Grove, Notting Hill involved demolition of an existing building and installation of an underground garage and electricity substation, whilst retaining a number of mature trees on a very 'tight' site.
